Chapter 5

THIS CHAPTER IS UP TO DATE: 2012

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: Between Navarrete and Nájera lies the village Ventosa.

Yellow arrows will lead you to the village. However, you may continue the path

(below right) all the way to Nájera. Do not follow the arrows: detour: 3 kms.

Although the signs lead you to the left, the shortest way to Nájera is straight on !!

The sign reads: Albergue open all days of the year. Not true! The yellow arrows

on the concrete part on the right have been painted over with light blue paint.

A thorough job done, only to mislead the pilgrims!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logroño: very unfriendly staff at Carrefour Supermarket near main plaza!! Watch out for the guard!

Also: take care when you take pictures at the Mercado de Abastos. Some staff can be very rude!

disappointing meal at El Buen Yantar.

NEW: there is a busservice at 1300 hrs from Logroño via Nájera to San Millán de Cogolla.

It returns at 1945 hours. (More buses later in the day. Less services during the weekend).

Between Navarrete and Nájera there is a new Casa rural: La casa de Sotés Ph 699 783 452
